Andamooka Island and the mainland
Fine Art Wilderness Landscape Photography
In this part of the site I display fine art wilderness landscape photography from the Far South Coast and Monaro regions of New South Wales, the Wilderness Coast of East Gippsland, Victoria, and outback South Australia. These fine art images are captured on film using a medium format camera.
A delight when viewed on screen, I recomend these images to you for hanging in living and business areas to enhance existing decor or to set the scene for the interior decorating. You never know: your golden opportunity may lie in my fine art wilderness landscape photography. For sales information go to my Sales page or E-mail Laurie with your question or proposal.
Andamooka
- Outback desert images from the Roxby Downs, Andamooka area and east toward Lake Torrens.
Bosworth Black and White Images
- Black and white images from Lake Torrens and Andamooka opal fields.
Salt builds up on the driftwood strewn around the diminishing water holes in the lake bed. Water in Lake Torrens is a rare sight.
The early opal miners of Andamooka, and their families, must have done it pretty tough in their stone houses with dirt on the roof for insulation. Bosworth Station Colour
- Medium format colour images taken in the bed of Lake Torrens, the salt under a shallow cover of super saturated water reflecting the early morning sky, the rocks embodying the vivid tones and colours of the arid desert.
Aragunnu Bay
- Part of Mimosa Rocks National Park, Aragunnu has been a special place to my family for many years.
Black Ada Lagoon
- A shallow, salt water lagoon near the mouth of the Bega River. Black Ada Lagoon is part of Mogareeka Inlet.
Kosciuszko Snow
- Snow around the rocks and snowgums of the high country. Wilderess photography in Kosciuszko National park in winter.
Kosciuszko
- As is the way in the Australian bush, Kosciuszko National Park was extensively burnt in the summer of 2003 perpetuating it's character of stubbourn, though tortured, survival.
Snowgum
- The snowgums of the Monaro with their contorted forms, colourful bark and roughly textured wood, catch the emerging light of morning and stand stark against a brilliant sky.
Tantawangalo Snow
- Transformed by the extreme weather, the bush of Mount Tantawangalo took on a new identity.
Wilderness Gully
- A composite of several sites, Wilderness Gully allows soft, directional light to gently illuminate the forms secreted beneath its canopy.
