An update, finally!!
Well, it’s been a busy busy couple of months. We’ve had the packing and the moving and the me here and Dale over there and now we are finally all together again. And I am so happy that we are. It’s been a long few weeks without Dale. So here are a few photos from our last few days in our home in Perth.
And a sad goodbye to some very special friends. I wasn’t able to get the camera out for all of our goodbyes but here is just one.
The removalists were great and packed everything up very well. Dale asked them to keep out the highchairs for us, which they did, but they packed away the trays that went with them. The boys enjoyed eating their dinner on the lounge onFriday night.
I haven’t got any of the apartment we stayed in initially but some of the view out the window and the boys playing. The boys were very excited when we got to see the balloons of a morning. We’ve now moved into our new home (for 2 years) and Dale is getting it all to spec so we can all be happy and safe there.
We had a lovely visit from my brothers and families.
The new house is good. Obviously not as big as our old home but it will do just fine. It took 2 days for the 1 and 1/2 containers to be delivered and unloaded but there are still quite a few boxes for us to go through and unpack.
I am enjoying my new job, and the break from the boys, but equally the boys are loving day care. They get very excited when we say we are going to Elaine’s every morning. Some of the artwork they have been bringing home will start being distributed to all loving relatives soon. It is interesting to see the differences in their pieces of art.
Dale starts his new job on Monday and I think is looking forward to it. Here is a photo of his “bachelor pad” after we left. I think the fur children quite enjoyed having the bed on the floor and not having to jump up.
It has started getting cold of a morning over here and we have already had a few frosts. Dale has put up a shade sail over the back deck and so that is keeping the furniture somewhat dry, although still cold. We have discovered the benefits of having a combustion fire though. You can wash of an evening and hang out the clothes on the airer and it’s dry in the morning. It’s a real godsend.
So, here are some photos of the boys now and what they’ve been up to over the last few days.
Anyway, that’s it for now. Hopefully you are all well and keeping safe. More to come as I get a bit more organised.
