Brock and Zac are 6 months old

Well, they were six months last Wednesday.  I did want to update you all last Wednesday but life got in the way.

The boys must be eating well cos they are now weighing, Brock is now 5.89 kg (12lb 15 oz) and Zac is 5.70 kg (12lb 5oz).  They are both 60.5 cm long.  Pretty good hey!  Just to show you all how much they have grown I have put in a photo from when they were little and a photo taken on Wednesday.

I know I told you all in the last post that Zac had rolled.  Well a couple of days later Brock also did. Zac has also started holding the bottle sometimes and Brock is having great fun arching his back and helping when we change his nappy.  They are both really enjoying there tummy time now and rolling on to there backs whenever they can.  Both boys are still talking although they seem to have gone a bit quiet in the last few days.

Last Friday (11 July) I took the boys out to Dale’s work for a bbq lunch.  They had been up most of the morning as we had mums group so they were a bit tired but were pretty good.  Have put in a few photos from our trip to the island.  I don’t think Brock liked Aunty Lee Anne at this particular moment although Zac was quite happy with her earlier in the day.

We’ve also upgraded from wrapping (swaddling) the boys at night to putting them in sleeping bags.  This way they stay warm all night, cos with them starting to move around in the cot they were getting unwrapped and uncovered and cold.  Thanks to Leah and Ryan for the sleeping bags.

I have also started dressing them more in “big boys clothes” when we go out and they look so cute.  Have a look at the photos below.

We have also tried to give them some solids a couple of times in the last week.  We tried them with some Farex (the rice cereal) which they didn’t hugely like but they did like the yoghurt I gave them this morning.

That’s it for now.  I hope you have all enjoyed all the photos.

One more lot.  My friend Robyn sent us the gorgeous sleepy bag thingys, which are in the photo of the boys at mums group.  This is them in them in the pram.  They are lovely and warm and it was a tad cold on the weekend so we rugged them up in them and they seemed quite comfy.

Obviously Poppy Kevin got it wrong. He meant to say that the twins should be learning how to say Uncle Chrissie.

I’m jealous that Chrissie gets to cuddle those babies and I don’t :(
