House Update – 2 Dec 07

Monday 26 November we had a meeting with our site manager.  Graeme appeared to be quite helpful and happy with progress so far.  It was good to be able to put a face to a name and know who he is.  I am still reserving judgement on whether he is any good.  He did answer all our questions though. 

We have had our window frames delivered and also the steel lintels and beams.  The pile of dirt that has been slowly being eroded and blown away has been taken away, thank goodness.  The neighbours are happy with that. 

The lovely pink toilet is still there and appears to be a source of amusement and some pranks for the local kids.  We dropped past today and the door was wide open.  Not sure what possesses some people. 

Graeme was also able to let us know that the brickie will start this week, sometime, but hopefully Monday.  He is a middle aged, Welsh guy, who works on his own.  The job will take a bit longer (4 weeks instead of 2) but will be a perfect job.  We can’t wait to see the walls starting to go up.
