House update to 19 Apr 08

The house is coming along great guns. The roof was put on last week (see the photos) and it only took a day for them to get it on. It makes such a difference to see it with the roof on.

The plasterer has started the internal walls in the last week also. He told Dale that he will be finished next Wednesday and the glazier will be in on Thursday to put in all the glass. This means that the house will be at lock up on Thursday when he has finished. It’s amazing, I can’t believe that this is where its at already. It’s not really that quick but it is great to see it at this stage and know that there is something happening and its moving forward. As mentioned earlier, Dale and Justin chopped down a tree in the back yard. A couple of weeks ago we had a big storm (I mentioned it earlier in the twin update) and part of the tree (which had cracked) fell over near the fence. It was safer to chop the whole thing down. A job that we thought would take a couple of hours ended up taking them 2 days. I’ve put some photos of the “men doing men things” in for you all to have a look at.
