Oh my goodness, he can climb!!

Hello all

Not quite as long a gap this time.

We haven’t been doing a lot over the last couple of weeks but I have a few cute photos that I thought I would share with you all and some new things they are doing.

As indicated in the heading, Brock has learnt how to climb.  It started with them climbing up on Poppy Kevins chairs I think, but has now progressed to the couch.  Brock can climb up on the couch all on his own and is ever so proud of himself.  Zac can climb up but only if there is someone there for him to grab on to.  It’s great to see them learning  these new things but a little scary as well.

They have also learnt how to get into the shower recess in the ensuite.  What I normally do of a morning is let them in to our bedroom while I am showering.  It is normally the easiest option.  The other morning I walked out to do some stuff in the kitchen  and left them in there.  It went strangely quiet and so I went in to have a look at what mischief they were up to.  This is what I found.

They both got quite annoyed when I lifted them out and brought them back out to the loungeroom where I could keep an eye on them.

You might rememer that a few months ago we all went up Scarborough to have a look at the Sculptures on the Sand.  Last weekend Rockingham had something similar on our foreshore.  The competition here was that all entrants had to use all recycled materials.  It was quite a good exhibit, although I think some of the artists are dreaming with the prices they ask for there work.  The boys had fun crawling around in the sand and star in at least two other peoples photos.

My big news is that I have officially resigned from work (with effect 18 Jun) and I am going to start doing Family Day Care from home.  The licencing process takes about 3 months so I still have a few months of “holiday” before starting but then it’s going to be pretty full on.  We worked out that it really wasn’t financially worth me going back to work if we had to factor in the cost of childcare so this way we get the best of both worlds, I’m at home with the boys and I still get to bring some money in.

That’s about it for now.  Catch you all again real soon.
