Week 3 – Bega to Cooma
We didn’t get a sleep in this morning. Check out was 10am so we had to get up at 8.30. We’ve bought a few things over the last couple of days so we had to re pack the car. This took us a little while but we eventually get it done. I have put in a photo of our cosy cabin here for you to see the idyllic location. It was really bushy and quiet and a lovely retreat for a few days.

Yesterday after all the rain we had done a river crossing across the road down near Bega River. We went back today so that I could get a photo of Dale driving through. Here is the photo.
On the way to Cooma we went past my brother Joshua’s block at Kalaru. We also went up to Cobargo again to buy a few other things that we wanted for the house. Tonight we are staying at Cooma with my brother and sister in law and their family. I have previously been to a local winery here and wanted to get some more wine from there. We drove up to Berridale and I tried a few of the wines and bought a few more.
After that we were driving back in to Cooma when we drove past an old junk car yard. Dale wanted to have a look. He and mum went in, wandered around and took a whole heap of photos (I have put some of the many in here). I stayed in the car where it was warm and read my book, a much smarter idea. The owner of the yard estimates that there are 4000+ cars in the yard which is at least a square kilometer. Dale could have spent the whole day there, but it was way too cold.

We have had a lovely dinner at Toby and Rochelle’s. I haven’t managed to get any photos of the family yet but will try to do so tomorrow before we leave.
Tomorrow is the short drive to Canberra where we are catching up with quite a few friends.
Catch you all again soon.
