Week 4 – Saturday – Canberra to Sydney

It was a cold old morning today when we eventually got up. We had a lovely sleep in at Rob and Sue’s and when we got up there was a big frost. The car was all iced up again.

Sydney is only about 3 hours driving time. Earlier this year Dale had seen an episode of Landline where you could pay $50 and plant a tree. Four fifths of the money goes to the Cure for Life Foundation and one fifth to care and maintenance of the tree. The farm was out near Yass so we looked it up on the net and headed out there to have a look. Unfortunately the artist was not there and so we were unable to plant the tree but we have purchased one for later planting. We both thought it was a fantastic idea.

After that we headed up to Sydney and got here about 4.30. We came up the M7 and the M2 and apparently I made Dale break the law by evading the toll. I’m not sure how I did this as he is driving but that’s his story and he’s sticking to it.

We have had a lovely dinner with Di and Rob and are yet to decide what we will do tomorrow. See what the weather is like I think.
