About

Beside being a great bushman and explorer, John McDouall Stuart must have been a great communicator. Through his journals, he communicates to me as few other people ever have.

Not only has John McDouall Stuart enthused me with accounts of his journeys, discoveries and resourcefulness, he has motivated me to follow his tracks, visit and camp in his camp sites and make a cup of tea from the waterholes he discovered.

This website is the unfolding photo story of my John McDouall Stuart adventure.
