Camping at Baroota between Port Pirrie and Port Augusta
I camped the night at Baroota Rodeo Grounds between Port Pirrie and Port Augusta on the Stuart Highway in South Australia.

Quite mild overnight and dry, now that I’ve entered the arid region.
For ten bucks you don’t expect too much. I’ve camped rougher but it’s always cost me nothing. I slept in an open fronted shed and got breakfast on an old cable drum. Set up my gas ring in the corne,r out of the breeze, and cooked toast with marg.
Breakfast at Baroota. Toast on the gas. A bit black on one side, this is what happens when you get too involved in taking photos.
There’s a toilet and a hot shower if I want to light the donkey. I’ll heat up some water on the gas for a clean up in preparation for buying some fresh veggies. Well, you need to be a bit clean!
