Murray Nichol is a young photographer making his mark, not only on the local scene in the Bega Valley, but also, to some degree, on the national stage.
With The Green Grasshopper, pictured, Murray Nichol has won the National Youth Week Snap It Talent Competition. His prize was the digital SLR camera that he now uses to great advantage.
Murray’s accolades include:
- Four Champion Junior Photography ribbons at the Bega show.
- Sold his first serious art print at the age of eleven.
- A photo published in each of two different national photography magazines.
- Won the National Youth Week Snap It Talent Competition.
- Received newspaper coverage in the Bega District News.
- Exhibited at Bega Valley Regional Gallery.
Murray Nichol will be exhibiting in the Spiral Gallery, Church Street, Bega, along with other young photographers, for two weeks from Friday 6 April.
