While much of Australia is still in the grip of a lasting drought, here in Bega we had good rain toward the end of summer.
It’s now early autumn and because of the soaking rain, coupled with the mild weather, this flowering pear tree in Littleton Gardens thinks it’s spring, so has flowered.
Well, further rain has spoiled the blooms which have run their course anyway. But it was a welcome change in the weather and the spectacle in the garden was greatly admired.
